We can’t do what we do without YOU! Our vibrant and generous community is the cornerstone of our success. The PTA is committed to creating exciting opportunities that strengthen our sense of community while supporting the many causes that benefit our Henking/Hoffman schools.
From dine-out nights to PTA Perks, we offer a variety of fundraising efforts throughout the year. Check out our current and upcoming fundraisers below, and be sure to follow our social media pages to stay up-to-date on all campaigns supporting our community.
What Are We Fundraising For?
Here are just a few examples of what your contributions help support:
- Capital projects like Henking’s playground, Hoffman’s sound system, and a kiln for Henking’s art classes
- Author visits at both schools
- Cultural enrichment events such as International Night
- Art enrichment programs for both schools
- School assemblies
- School supplies for every teacher and classroom
- Maintenance of bikes for Henking’s Learn-to-Ride program
- Teacher Appreciation Week
- Conference luncheons for staff
- 5th-grade play and picnic

Coming Up…
The Henking and Hoffman Annual Read-A-Thon!
Get ready to launch! Our annual Read-a-thon officially begins next Monday, January 12th, 2026. This year’s theme, ‘Blast off with books!’, challenges our students to reach a shared mission goal: if Henking and Hoffman collectively read 100,000 minutes or raise $5,000, we will bring an immersive planetary experience tailored to every grade level directly to both schools!
How to Join the Mission:
- Register Online Now: We are using a new, easy-to-use platform called PledgeStar.Registration letters are being sent home in backpacks this week you can also find a copy below.
- Registration Tip: When creating your account, please start with the Parent/Guardian name/email first. You will be prompted to add your student(s) once the parent account is set up.
- Set Your Goal: Once registered, help your student set a personal reading goal for the next two weeks and ask friends and family for their support.
Tracking Your Journey:
- Paper Logs: On Monday, Jan. 12th, students will receive paper reading logs to help them track their daily minutes over the two week period.
- Reach Neptune: In line with our space theme, students can place planet stickers on their logs as they progress through the solar system. Can your reader make it all the way to Neptune?
- Log Minutes Online: Use PledgeStar to log minutes digitally. This allows you to see in real-time how your student is contributing to our shared 100,000-minute read goal!
Dine out at Chipotle
Mark your calendars and plan dinner out with a purpose! Join us on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 5–9 PM at Chipotle for our next dine-out fundraiser. 25% of your order will be donated back to the Henking and Hoffman PTA at the restaurant located at 8488 W Golf Rd in Niles. Be sure to mention the Henking and Hoffman PTA when you order in person or use the code AATTKBC on the Chipotle app or website (third-party delivery sites do not count). Easy dinner, no cooking, and a great way to support the PTA—win-win!
Urban Air Spirit Night
Join us for an HE/HOF Spirit Night at Urban Air Adventure Parkon Friday, February 27, 2026, from 4:30–6:40 PM—the same day as parent/teacher conferences and a no-school day for students.
Location: 2614 Golf Rd, Glenview, IL 60025
What to do: Wear your spirit wear and jump, climb, and play with friends
Giveback: 20% of all day passes will be donated back to the HE/HOF PTA when you mention Henking or Hoffman at purchase
